Morning Peeps,
A lurker here popping in. We have £8.76 left from £200 cash with a budget of £250 2 adults and 2 border collies.
I don't tend to save the cash and carry over as I try to drag it out as far as I can into the next month. Our budget is £250 but I try leave £50 in a piggy bank account for when we need to meat shop. This pot has increased in time that at the end of last year I was a full month in front. I get paid on the 27th of the month and had started this last year some time to drag it out into the next month.
We will no doubt need milk we go through a lot!
DH has found a cheaper dog product (-£9) that has been good for them as there has not been any side effects and no noses up either win-win.
We can do better we know as we buy our midweek dinners averaging £1 a day when in actual fact I could halve that by making fresh and probably tasting better too. (Plus less fuel of driving there) I've never tried to make crumpets but needs must.
2 Scratters xx

If you’re able to buy working dog food that’s suitable @2Scratters then there is no VAT. We have a spaniel and we use the maintenance blend/retired working dog blend and it’s £22 every 2 months. He’s never been a working dog but I wanted a cheaper option whilst still nutritious. HTH xFollow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

So, I can now declare for May at £548.38, having spent a very moderate £7.22 at the supermarket this morning & being confident that we do not need anything else until Wednesday/Thursday. £1.62 in hand, despite the chaos - phew!Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)5

Yesterday was a milk spend of £3.20 leaving £5.56.(this is the cash only purse) Won't need to spend today or tomorrow.
I'm trying to find a Morrisons near me that sells the 2 litre bottles of cream to make more butter from. This will involve "popping in" to stores I wouldn't normally visit. I am doing a bit of travelling at the moment to help with parents who are ailing so they would not be wasted journeys.
See you all in June

I had a supermarket delivery yesterday which came to £43.04 but we're now fully topped up on fruit, veg and bits and bobs to see us through half term. I'm only slightly over so declaring for the month at £251.43
See you on the June thread!4 -
Since I last reported in here (9th May), I have spent:
12th: Tesco £30.38
16th: Sainsbury £7.00
17th: milk only, from local garage £1.99
18th: Tesco £35.84
19th: Sainsbury £38.87
20th: Tesco £10.25
22nd: Morrisons £6.00 (not even "real grocery shopping" here. 16yo daughter had asked me if I could take her out to buy some make- up /shampoo/conditioner etc-separate budget. But them my partner asked if, while I was out, I could buy some snacks. So £6 worth of Mr Kipples cakes it was, then)
23rd: Asda £36.98

Some good and some bad for the month of May.
The good bit is I've a freezer full of stuff and the cupboards are well stocked.
I do my planning on a daily basis over a year so the bad bit is I shouldn't need to go shopping until the 23/6

Monday I spent roughly £6 in Lidl on salad, but other than popping into a shop last night to get something from another set of money, I'm hoping to not need to shop until Friday.
I have just over £10 I'm going to roll over for the next week.Decluttering campaign 2023
