And now it's passed after extra charges for a new sensor on the exhaust but with the following advisory...
"Front exhaust system filled with putty and not losing gases"
    What is that all about?
Someone's bodged the exhaust and it's not leaking.

Oh I do feel sorry for people who have to take their cars to garages.

Well that's better than how I read it, sounded to me like the whole exhaust system is 'filled' up with putty so the fumes can't get out and would poison me whilst driving!  :D

    I think I was overthinking it !

I thought bodging exhausts was something that went out years ago.  But it seems that you can still buy "bandages" that you wrap around a rusted out exhaust to cover up the holes.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

Suspect they have changed the lamda sensor and the thread got a bit damaged on removal so they have bodged it in with some exhaust putty.

U.Bodgit and Sons have fixed the exhaust.

Do not be surprised if you have further issues with that exhaust and sensors.
