Confused by Virgin price rise

So like many people I received a letter from Virgin to say that their prices are increasing. As I was away a lot this month, I didn't really have the time to deal with it. I've now noticed that the letter says I can change or cancel my package any time before the 17th of April without cancellation fees... Oops.
I am confused about the price rise though and if it affects me.
First they explain how they have to raise their prices because of rising costs. But then it says: 'However, this 2023 price increase won't affect you until your current price offer ends. The full price of your package will increase by £15.00 a month, subject to the new pricing terms referred to over the page.'
Does this mean that I will simply continue to pay my current monthly fee until my contract ends? My current deal ends on January 5.
Am I fine to stay on for now and then simply do the whole 'I'm cancelling' jig in January?

Ring them ASAP and they will stop the current increase so you will continue paying what you are now.
Your contract allows them to increase your monthly payments every year.
While you are on the phone push them to extend the contract at the price you are paying now.0
