The dealer was adamant no current recalls were listed for my car and refused it. After insisting they spoke to Mazda they came back and stated the part would be supplied for free but I had to pay labour charges . The service manager stated it was a goodwill gesture . Thoughts appreciated on this issue. Thanks  

I believe it came from Spain when I bought it in 2020. It’s been a v reliable and great car .  I can’t see if the v pump had been replaced previously and Mazda at Warrington have no record of it behind done . ( that said -if it was on a second pump ,it still would be their responsibility if it was to fail a second time surely?)  
mom gong to speak to Mazda uk tomorrow and seek repayment of the labour charges. £119  thanks all .

So the warranty work could have been done in Spain, and if so Mazda UK would have no record of it, unless they have access to EU-wide service histories?
Is this a LHD, Spanish spec vehicle, or was it imported from the UK to Spain originally?

Hi it is a right hand drive . Import . I’ve got paperwork showing it came from Spain with invoices for services over there before I purchased it at a garage in Manchester. They are not aware of any recall work previously.
