Talkmobile 30 day plan billing query?

Thinking of taking up a 12gb plan with Talkmobile. I've been with them before but on a 12 month contract. Just wondering how they bill on a 30 day plan. Will there be a an extra bill between activation and bill date like the 12 month plan? If this is the case low does it work with a deal (currently half price for 3 months)?
