Using a UK phone on the IOM

Ì have family in the IOM and visit regularly. Also go over TT and stay a month.
I currently have a 30 day rolling contract with Plusnet that allows free roaming in the IOM. I believe this is a legacy "perk" that wasn't offered to newer customers so could probably be withdrawn at any time.
I do not make many calls and in an average month in the UK I use less than 1GB data. Phone calls from UK to the IOM are out of plan but we usually communicate via messenger or WhatsApp which is free within my data usage. When I'm over there I do use more data (fewer wifi hotspots), so 5GB would be adequate.
I'm thinking of changing mobile provider because I don't think I'm currently getting value for money. Or more accurately I'm pretty disgusted at their latest price increase.
Looking around at other mobile providers no-one seems to provide free roaming on the IOM.
I dont want to get an IOM sim just for data during TT because previous experience has not been good - expensive for the use I got, mainly due to poor reception in many areas.
Does anyone have any suggestions for other companies I could look at, or would it be best to grit my teeth and stick with plusnet for now?

Looks like ID Mobile offer free roaming in IOM.
A one month rolling SIM only deal with 5Gb of data and unlimited calls/texts is currently £6 per month.
Other deals are available with greater data allowance.
If you can live with a 12 month contract and the hassle of claiming cashback every few months, then you can get 70Gb of data per month for the equivalent of £6 after cashback on an ID Mobile SIM through mobiles.co.uk.
Unused data also rolls over to the following month, but I don't think it is cumulative.
They use the Three network so you would need to check if there is good coverage in your area.2 -
Vodafone offer inclusive roaming on all their pay monthly and pay as you go plans in Ireland, Isle of Man, Iceland and Norway - no extra costs involved. You can get some very good sim only plans with cash back from the likes of e2save etc. I got a 100GB plan (12 month) for the equivalent on £7.67 a month in January…I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂2
