1pBroadband reflections/experience

Hi
does anyone have any experience or reviews on 1pBroadband?
Seems quite a good deal with the phone costs for a light landline user....but is the broadband good and reliable? Don't need top speeds just up to the 35Mb apparently getting at the moment on Talk Talk with fibre to the box down the road and then copper into the house.
I have used a1pMobile SIM for the past year which has proved economical and reliable....but the broadband offer I would like to know more about.
many thanks for any constructive replies positive or negative

I have an abject feeling this is Utility Warehouse in new colours, only without the whole "discount for four" thing.Indeed a quick shufty on Companies House shows the registered address of TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT LIMITED (which is the owner of 1p Broadband) to be the same as the one listed for Utility Warehouse. So I think its the same outfit.Price wise, comparable to what you can get elsewhere with a bigger name.0

Interesting...it,s actually for up at my Mother's house...she has Talk Talk broadband plus an anytime call add on at 16 quid .She probably makes about two hours worth of calls in the whole month!Together with the broadband at 30 quid that's 46!...the 1p broadband charges 1p/minute for calls so she would be making savings there for sure but if there are any issues with 1pBroadband I will look elsewhere. Thanks for pointing out the connection with Utility Warehouse Neil...is this significant?0

I didn't say it was significant. I'm just saying its UW in sheep's clothing. Make of it what you will.Re: call charges, you are aware it says on the website 10p call set up? Which makes even a one minute call 11p. "Charged in 60 second units. Minimum call duration of 60 seconds. 10p call setup charge. Calls rounded up to next 1p."

...and, of course, Utility Warehouse's broadband service is provided by TalkTalk and their mobile proffer by EE.0

I was thinking of switching to them. But they failed my 'customer test'.Test 1: Ring technical support to see if they can answer a basic router question. Called over the weekend as they (Tech Support) meant to be available 24 hrs a day 7 days a week. No answer the first day. Eventually someone answered the second day and didn't know the answer and advised I call customer support. Gave me a number that gave me the reply that the number is switched off.Test 2: Rang customer support on a Monday morning to ask a couple of questions about the contract on offer, you would've thought someone would answer wouldn't you? Well, same again, a reply saying this number is switched off.So have decided to stick with current provider. Better to be safe than sorry.2
