Tastecard Scam

Hi, can anyone help me please?
I 'signed up' to the Tastecard for a free 90 day trial, on 7th February 2023 and marked it in my diary to cancel it in plenty of time as I have no wish to continue an annual subscription.
On 8th April they took £39.99 out of my account. This is way before the 90 days. So I emailed them requesting a refund and they are refusing to refund me because they say I signed up to an annual subscription which came into force on the 8th April...I certainly DID NOT do this. How can I take this further because I want the full amount refunded to me straight away?
Thanks everyone

Are you sure it wasn't a 60 day trial? Their website says 60 days2
-
That shounds like a 60 day trial which is what is currently showing on their website. Are you certain it was 90 days - do you have any documentation ?1
-
What does your sign-up documentation/email say? 60 days, or 90? As far as I can see, there is a 90 day trial, but it's £1 not free.0

I am 100% it was a 90 day trial, no question0

@km1500 asked..do you have any documentation to support this?Kajagoogoo78 said:I am 100% it was a 90 day trial, no question1 -
In which case, go back to them with your evidence of that and insist on a refund.Kajagoogoo78 said:I am 100% it was a 90 day trial, no question0 -
I just found this, I will send this on to them

But if that's not the deal you signed up to, it's irrelevant.What actual documentation do you have for your trial?If you signed up through another site, e.g. myprotein, then surely your dispute is with that site, not tastecard?2

You'll have to provide proof of that if you want to complain. Otherwise get them to admit that they changed their offers.Kajagoogoo78 said:I am 100% it was a 90 day trial, no questionI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
