Forced to use Virgin Media Broadband

I have a Virgin Media Wall Socket at my flat, its a 3 year old new build but feel I am being forced to stay with Virgin only because it was installed when the flats were built. So I can't do anything about price hikes.
Is there any way for me to get an option where I can choose which provider I can go with, surely I should have the freedom to do so and get competitive prices.
I contacted the management company managing the flats and their response was:
I confirm the only Broadband provider is Virgin at {said place}. At present the infrastructure is not there for another service provider.
Any suggestions?

Any chance you could use mobile broadband?1

Funnily enough, someone at work LITERALLY suggested this to me, or buying a PAYG WIFI - as Im only at home 2 days a week, rest is based in office, so will work out what is cheaper.0

I’m in a similar scenario to yourself my landlord won’t allow me to have any drilling alternative provider installed at my address so stuck with virgin or mobile broadband luckily have 5G here so was going to go down that route however virgin matched the price of the unlimited data sim I was going use (£17.00) and doubled my speed via there outbound retentions so stayed with them.Might be worth cancelling virgin then getting in touch with the outbound retentions on 020 3743 6947 to see what they offer.1

Yes I've seen a deal for £16 unlimited data so might just use my phone data. Saves me paying my phone bill on top of Virgin broadband.0

Using your phone as a wi-fi (or even USB) hotspot is fine for occasional use but isn't great for the phone battery and other internals as it tends to run hot.
You can pick up 4G (and even 5G) mobile routers for not much on the usual sites.
Whatever mobile solution you pick, make sure your indoor coverage from the network is sufficient for your hungriest tech.1 -

Don't think so.
