I feel for you venomx, I am in the same situation, I think. Coincidentally my last assessment was in 2017, I had to take it to tribunal and was awarded enhanced daily care, received forms to fill in May 2021, assessment 3 wks ago, 1 hour 33mins. Received my ESA letter 2wks ago about the new rates in April, no disability benefits included, rang them up, they said it was a mistake and a new letter would be sent. Yesterday my PIP payment went into my bank, but it is less than normal, so I am assuming they have stopped my PIP, they did not telephone me and I have not received a letter yet, which I think is disgusting, a bit of notice would have helped, as this has left me up the creek without a paddle. To make matters worse my ESA payment due today (assumed it would be paid yesterday due to bank holiday, has not been paid to me!).

If your PIP has been stopped or reduced then they don't usually warn you before doing this. As letters from DWP can take up to 2 weeks to be received then it's not unusual for it to be a complete surprise. The same as when you're awarded for the first time, usually money goes into your bank before the decision letter is received.

Your ESA should have been paid into your bank yesterday because as you correct stated, today is a bank holiday. If your PIP has been stopped then this can suspend an ESA claim, especially if your ESA included the SDP. Did you ring ESA and PIP yesterday to ask?

Once you receive the PIP decision letter you can request the MR as you're aware.

Normally £369.50 per 4 wks, received £334.69. What I am now worried about, is the letter from ESA was dated 10th March, if that is the date that DWP stopped my PIP, and sent a letter, which I have not received, it will mean I cannot ask for a MR due to being over 4wks.

That was before your PIP assessment though, as you said that was 3 weeks ago?

The absolute deadline for an MR is 13 months.

You get £13.20 a day (should be £334.40 every 4 weeks)
You got £34.71 less, which is about 2 1/2 days,  but something is amiss as it should be whole days, as you can't be paid for half a day

The figure might mean that you haven't lost PIP  but been downgraded to the lower rate
20 days of higher rate would be £264
8 days of lower rate would be £70.69
That would total £334.69  and  that's the payment received.

So my best guess that you will find you have moved to the Standard rate.

If that is correct then what you were told on the phone is correct as you still have SDP

I got that wrong, time flies, my assessment was 3rd March. Does 13months still apply if you have not received their letter, also how do you prove this.

Hillstreetblues, (sorry don't know how to do 2 quotes). My PIP enhanced daily care is  £92.40 per week. The ESA letter sent dated 10th March, NOT received until 30th March, shows my new ESA rate from 11th April, as ESA only, does not include the disability payments that I get due to receiving PIP.

I apologise to the op, for hijacking their thread, should I start a new thread?

Yes.  I don't know how you prove it but when you phone up to ask about it, make a note of the date and time of the call and who you speak to.  Then if they push the issue they can listen to the call record.

Regarding the ESA rates letter, it does sound like the standard annual rates one.  If the SDP were removed from the date of the PIP decision you'd expect a separate letter telling you the amounts from the date of the PIP decision, not for it to coincidentally only take effect when the new rates do from a future date.

Hopefully a mod can split this thread.

The ESA letter dated 10th March I feel is wrong about the SDP
If the PIP had been decided before the 10th March,  and you lost PIP then you would have got very little PIP payment, maybe only a couple of days worth.
