Can't access Virgin media email

Hi all.
I haven't been able to get past the sign in page for Virgin Media now for 5 days. Everything I try, including reset password, takes me back to the main sign in page and I am getting really frustrated.
Initially I put it down to the main outage that happened last week, but I still can't access it. Even the 'help and support' page takes me back to sign in. I've tried on a laptop and a mobile phone. No joy on either.
Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe best to try their forums:I wouldn't trust VM with the management of my email anyway so maybe you could look at another option like https://www.outlook.com

Tried the forum but it just keeps telling me that email is already in use, but won't let me access using it.0

Had a lengthy conversation with Virgin today. Turns out that my email is linked with the account holder. Ex husband. That account is closed and it is now MY account, set up by ME using this email address. But because he was the account holder when MY email address was originally set up 22 years, there is literally nothing I can do about it.
They are treating it as HIS email address that I have been using.
I am furious more than I can even express.
All of my life is in that email. When my renewal notices come in or insurance documents or whatever, they all go to that email. Some of my business dealings go there.
The guy at Virgin tried to help as much as possible, but his solution was for me to tell people to redirect to another email address. Which would be all well and good if I had email contacts in my head.
I genuinely don't know what to do now.
Only solution is to try to get ex to contact Virgin, to help me get into the old account. Which he won't be able to do as he a) won't be inclined to help me and b) won't have a clue about passwords, account details etc.

Its too late now probably but this is why you shouldn't depend on ISP email. If there's a problem, you're stuck. If you move away, you're stuck because you'll lose it.Set up another account at Gmail/Outlook.com/Yahoo and you may if you're lucky be able to "pull" them in from Virgin via the behind-the-scenes API link. This may not work but its worth a punt if you know 100% the password is correct. Plus if you do move provider it doesn't affect operation of the email account.0

Can you PM me a guide as to how to pull in the emails please? I'm willing to try anything at this stage. I have a Gmail account already. The password is definitely correct.0

Tried it but got an error message saying 'couldn't access server'.0

Going to just spend some time going through bank accounts etc so I can see which accounts I can contact. Change all the contact details to gmail.
Will do as much as I can.0
