Update.
Started  work 14.04.2023.

The fault is on Main Joint.

Continue repair Monday.

Multiple properties off be off Supply.

******

Due to neighbour experiencing Electricity supply issues today.

*Neighbour has solar panels
Would this make a Difference? Surge to the  System.

Remember Neighbour said  electric Kept Tripping.
Also for a  while humming on shared wall side.
Suggested was new Washing Machine.

National Grid engineers determined that there is a fault with the cable that feeds from the main cable in the pavement to their meter.

Have some concern regarding the work to excavate and reinstate,
Eront Garden Lawn.  Tarmac Driveway. Block Paving Edge.

Any experience?

Engineers have installed temporary supply for my neighbour by connecting a cable in your outside meterbox to the neighbours outside meterbox.

My Understanding correct Connection to my meterbox they  installed before the meter,  will not result in myself paying anything additional for  electricity.

This temporary supply arrangement  perfectly safe?  cause no issues of overloading electricity supply ect.

    What is the question?

Yes it is perfectly safe, no it cannot overload the supply. Any temporary supply arrangement done by National Grid will be set up with full understanding of the network, safety and supply considerations.

Has this really been going on for 10 years?
