Playing BBC radio on group of Google Home speakers suddenly doesn't work

I've had this problem for over a week now. I'm based in Hampton, SW London. I lost all BBC services on smart speakers on Friday 7th. Tried all the googled fixes of turning everything off for 5 mins, factory resetting, nothing worked. Tried one google forum suggestion of sending feedback on the google smart speaker saying "Google smart speakers won't play BBC radio content". The next morning I woke to find it all working fine, which it did for 2 days. Then it broke again the next day. I've had more than a week since of no BBC content. BBC content is the only reason I own smart speakers and I love having it follow me from room to room. At least I've now learned some relaxation skills as I've stopped myself smashing the speakers to bits with a hammer.

The BBC is so obsessed with BBC sounds that nothing else seems to matter. We’re in N. Cumbria and have had no Google BBC since Thursday.

I am also having this issue with my Google Nest. It randomly played Radio 2, but not Radio 6, on Saturday but refused again later. It’s been several days of this now.
Looking forward to a resolution soon!

We're aware of reports that live BBC streams aren't working on some Google Home, Nest and Mini devices. 

We are investigating and will update this page when we know more. 

In the meantime, affected users may wish to cast to their speaker from the BBC Sounds mobile app.

Casting from BBC Sounds takes seconds so all is not lost while they try and fix it. Not really a major problem...

Not a BBC problem but a Google one....From Google...Users globally have been facing issues when attempting to trigger radio stations on Assistant. The issue is being experienced across all surfaces (incl. Speakers, displays, mobile, and auto), and most radio providers. The Assistant team is actively working on restoring service. We will provide an update here as soon as the issue is fixed

Seems to be working again as of mid afternoon today (14 April).

Time will tell if this is a long term fix.........
