Is this normal for EDF without warning? ... I'm a new customer (switched away from Kraken).0

It's the first time I can remember the EDF website being down and they've been warning about it on the website for a week or so.

The website now says "We'll be up and running as quickly as possible from 01:00 pm on 10 April". This is after they've been uncontactable on chat whenever I've tried as this month's bill hasn't appeared even though they have the Smart Meter readings. Although so much has gone up this month service continues to go backwards - Plusnet have messed up CPI increases and thats still not fixed.0

Does this explain the delay to payments too? I'm due a refund ( not that they have calculated it correctly). Was due in account today. Now not due till 11th..

The payment would not go into your account today, it will go in on the 11th because that is the next working/banking day.icaniwill said:Does this explain the delay to payments too? I'm due a refund ( not that they have calculated it correctly). Was due in account today. Now not due till 11th..1 -

"Sorry, we're currently carrying out some essential improvements on our site.
We'll be up and running as quickly as possible from 01:00 pm on 10 April so come back then if you need to manage your account, book a smart meter appointment or top up your PAYG meter online.
Is your Pay As You Go meter low on credit now?
- You can still top-up your meter at your local PayPoint retailer
- If your balance drops to £0 don't worry, your supply won't be disconnected as long as you top up with any credit you've used by 11 am on 11 April. Find out more about our non-disconnection times for PAYG
- Online, app and phone top-ups will be available again from 01:00 pm on 10 April

If someone does have an emergency or is having problems with credit running out this is the generic reply on twitter

This is an ambiguous message. It should either say due back at 01:00 or 1:00 a.m. if they meant one o'clock this morning or due back at 13:00 or 1:00 p.m. if they mean one o'clock this afternoon.0
