First time starting a post like this, but it appears @CMD79, has not been around lately, so we are hoping she is ok and attempting to start the new thread.

Threads like this have ben going for a while now and really seem to motivate people. So come on everybody, this is the place to post how much money you have made each day, over and above your normal income.  This can be from selling stuff on line or at car boots etc, doing surveys, mystery shops, receipt scanning apps, bank switches, cashback, or anything else you can think of.  Do you have a side hustle? Are you crafty? Do you bake cakes? Let us know and share your tips and ideas as well.

£10 is a nice round figure that everybody seems to like, but if you want to aim higher, that is brilliant. Or if you think you can only manage £5 a day, or even £2. Whatever target suits you best. Personally I like to aim low and then I feel better if I beat it, but one day I'll branch out and go for the full £10 a day.

In the mean time, let us know you targets and how you are doing so far. ...Welcome to previous posters and newbies.

  • So I'll get the ball rolling with a target of £5 a day, so £150 for the month, and so far I am on £60.37.

  • Thanks @Makingabobor2 for starting this month's challenge, and hope that @CMD79 is back on the forums soon xx

I've made a flying start in the first week of this month - £200 paid out for OH Nat West bank switch that I started last month, £52.04 from a payout from Topcashback for a purchase from last August, £35.71 Prolific from both myself and OH, £7.36 current account cashback.  So a total of £295.11 already.

Will therefore aim for £600 for the month - £20 a day.

What a brilliant start @Hollie_Hobbie. I need to look into some bank switching and still waiting for some cash back from car ins we did in January, its a long time paying out.

    Thank you @Makingabobor2

    Make £10 a day challenge - January 2023 = £292.89/£310 - Feb 2023 = £677.09/280 - March 2023 = £102.45/£310 - April = £300.12/300 - May 2023 = £306.80/£310 - June = £245.88/£150 - July = £295.45/£310 - August 2023 £51.56/£310

Thanks @Makingabobor2.  If you decide to do bank switching, I'd recommend opening a new account to use as your "starter account" rather than using your main bank current account - less stressful :)  I do for both me and OH at same time, getting it out of the way in one go.  There's an MSE article below which I found very useful:

Yes, this is what puts me off, the thought of having to change all our DD's and we are happy with the bank we are with TBH, been with them since 2015 and I love the app, the savings pots and everything about them and don't really want to swap. I will read the link. Thanks.

Hello, sending lots of love to @CMD79

thanks @Makingabobor2 for starting this for April.

I was aiming for £5 a day and have beaten this so far this month. I’m at £215.36. This is from eBay, curious cat, bank interest, credit card Cashback and prolific. I’m seeing what else is possible this month - so maybe a £7.50 a day target is sensible  (£232.50)  I don’t want to stretch to £10 a day as ebay is a slog these days!

    Good luck everyone x

I'm the same - happy with my main bank account so don't want to use that ☺️
