Uncapped Broadband Recommendation Please

My contract is up for renewal shortly, and would like to move away from my current ISP (Plusnet).
My data usage varies quite a bit, but I would like to be on a tariff that is uncapped - so if I wanted to download 100Gb of data, I'm not going to get a slap on the wrist for doing so! (I average about 25Gb at the moment, but I'm a bit selective about what I download).
So, I'm on the lookout for recommendations - ideally an ISP without a Fair Usage Policy (which is basically just a cap without them calling it as such!).
My initial though was to go for BT Business Broadband, but you're landline has to be a business one, and I don't really want to go through the hassle of changing that.
Would ideally like at least 1Mb speed (my current line is 2Mb, so I know its supported here). I don't mind a throttled connection at certain times if necessary (although would prefer this to only be at most 12 hours per day).
Access is all I need, so not fussed about email, webspace, newsgroups etc etc. Already have a router too, so free activation is really the only added benefit I'd be grateful of.
Suggestions welcome :-)

Thanks Sun, their basic service seems good value, but wouldn't really be suitable for my needs. Their unlimited service I think can be beaten by others, plus they charge a setup fee aswell unfortunately.0

E7even for a start - currently £10 a month for 1M uncapped compared with 14.99 for adsl4less !Sun wrote:Can you explain how?To infinity and beyond!0 -

Most unlimited providers seem to charge around the 29.99 mark, some as low as 22.00 (plusnet as an example).
Plus the setup fee at ASDL4Less is a little on the high side (again, compared to others).0 -
Check to see if you are on a UKOnline LLU. They are not uncapped but the 2MB for £19.99 a month and 8MB for £29.99 a Month have a 500GB monthly cap. Use more than the 500GB and then they start to moan. This is stated in thier terms and conditions unlike others that only state that they can reduce speed or terminate contract if you use more than they say or will effect the usage of others.0

Actually just spent the last couple of hours trying to find out about that (and Bulldog). My exchange isn't covered by LLU as yet, but a few others in the region are - just trying to find out if there is a list anywhere that shows which ones are planned for the near future.
500Gb I would say would be more than enough :-D0 -
heres a list of the UKOnline (easynet) exchanges .

You can compare ISPs against each other HERE . The site will give you an idea of what existing customers think of their ISP. The site rates them on speed/reliability/customer service.
I use Zen 2Mb unlimited. They are not the cheapest company out there, but the service is top notch. Compare them against any of the other ISPs and you will consistently see a big difference in quality over all the categories.
Zen offer no line contention, unlimited usage and free migration. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Thanks Rex, I had used ADSLGuide as a reference point, but tend to be cautious of users opinions purely because with sites such as that, it tends to be people having negative comments more than positive.
Its a bit like the old phrase - a happy person will tell one or two people, an unhappy person will tell a dozen.
In the end, I've signed up with UKOnline - not the best deal overall, but they fit the bill and will give me the option to upgrade to 8mb if they do the LLU at my exchange (which is likely within the next few months, I'm told)0
