Apparently it is that hard. I still get stuff for the previous resident over 2 years later.Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool.0

Exactly this. I'd happily enough hand mail to the old tenant themselves, but absolutely not to someone who just happens to come along and ask for it!lincroft1710 said:I would be very wary of giving someone's mail to a 3rd party. We've been where we are 20 years now, and still get bits of mail (official stuff, not just junk mail) for the old owner. Only at the weekend I shoved another one through the shredder. (We've been through them collecting it for the first few months, then literally years of "RTS" and back in the box - I'm all out of patience now, before someone tries to tell me I'm the devil incarnate for not still RTS'ing it!)🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ask them for their new address & then just drop it in the post box with forward to their new address.GTR_King said:I was kind & gave them the mail as a one off,
don’t want it to keep happening… as when you move you move your mail with you,
but not gonna be rude about itLife in the slow lane0 -
There are scams which involve getting mail such as credit cards sent to another address, so I’d be wary of handing anything over if I didn’t know that person.I’m resigned to the fact we’ll get mail for the previous residents here, I passed it on for a year or so, then did redirect for a couple of years and have shredded ever since. I’ve passed on/returned stuff that is clearly a pension statement so I now understand how people lose track of their investments - they just can’t be bothered!Fashion on the Ration

Only send on to a new address if provided by the old tenant directly. Any one else could give you any address and then use the identity for whatever they wish.born_again said:Ask them for their new address & then just drop it in the post box with forward to their new address.0
