Operators are becoming aware of this and should now be checking all ANPR transactions to ensure that this does not occur."
    Of course they are!

Bless you C-M, you're a fountain of hope, I thought I was on my own. When I emailed my SAR, particular things I asked for were change/release logs for the firmware of the PDT/ANPR camera (Yes, I know they won't have access, but I'm making a point.) I'm aware a mistake has happened but I need to prove it, the PPC won't do it for me and neither do I believe that they'll put their hand up if they spot the error in the ANPR transactions. Change/release logs could potentially show bugs, code fixes, patches, caching errors etc which can establish doubt to the reliability of flagged transactions. And then, there's an extra layer of complexity when the ANPR has to talk to the PDT machine when a driver is required to input the VRN. Any glitch/failure within the chain can lead to the situation I am in. I've attached an image I've found online of the PDT in the same car park - "Out of Service". Question is, how will the ANPR camera behave now?! Still take entry/exit images and flag all vehicles for a PCN?! Or, has the ANPR camera/system failed entirely and must be rebooted remotely and during this downtime it's failed to capture an amount of entry/exit images.

Yes, I know this case does not warrant such an investigation but it's my attempt at the truth and I realise I'm not going to find out. Thank you again, C-M.

The ANPR system is separate, so it is unaffected by machines not working.  Hence why PCNs are still issued.

Total scammery, the way ANPR is abused by some PPCs, IMHO.

If that's the case, it's even more of a feasible possiblity..So, does that mean there is human involvement in the reconciliation of Date-time/VRN data from the camera images and VRN data from the PDT, or is that automated? I can't imagine someone sitting down doing that all day....and night.

It is automated - connected in some way - but not the same system. There is no evidence of human checks.

ANPR in the grubby hands of PPCs is IMHO no
more than an automatic 'PCN generator' and it needs to be stopped.

Looks good but I only skim-read the start and assumed the lower half was going to be our Template Defence.

I would put your acronyms in full the first time you use them, followed by the shorter acronym in brackets which can then be used thereafter:

    PDT
    VRN
    ANPR

    etc., etc.

Thank you, C-M, I'll do the acronyms now. It's according to template from para 17 onwards. Can I insert a jpeg for my signature, instead of the print, sign, scan?

I've used the media published case of L.Carnie although it is not a legal case (challenged in the courts), is that ok? Will that be recognised and accepted by the Judge?

I've also admitted to being the driver, although the truth is I don't have a clue what happened that day or whther it was me or not, as I said 3 other drivers and definitely 2 of them would have had access that day. The fact that I have few answers, I don't want the Judge to look at that disfavourably, so I've stated I'm the driver so I can have a focused defence. Right move?
