Eagel Learner - hello and thanks for the 'organisation' tips...........sounds like a better idea that the one I already have (list of'stuff to do', separate folder for household bills means I have to drag it all out to get numbers etc.) Think I'll borrow that idea from you if I may

    annelousie - hello and welcome..........you're sounding pretty organised already ! Whats a 'jar journal' ? I'm intrigued.................
Love the idea of a notebook for special thoughts and memories. Not just the good ones though. The bad ones, well, those we have on those 'down' days might be a good idea.Gets it out of the system for a start and can always be looked back on when you think times are bad and how you dealt with them.
    Handy reference.

Charis you're so right on how this thread can change your outlook and for me its been a great help of how to deal with stuff I had mixed feelings about. All about re-arranging the mind in some way and making sure its not cluttered with 'bad stuff' so there's no room for the good and positive.

Well, today was my 'day off' .........left OH in charge of shopping while I went off to visit my disabled friend.Had a lovely day even though the weather wasn't all it could be (rain followed by more rain and defiitely a card day!)
OH in despair about the price of shopping and how things are soaring in price every week.On top of that two of the tomato plants in our hanging baskets look like they've got the ;'blight' ! OH gave them a spray with stuff recommended by an old chap down the road who also said to keep an eye over the next few days.........if no better then to chuck them. Such a shame. OH loves his 'veg in pots' and the idea of growing our own to save a few quid - one of the plants had a lot of fruit on which we may well now lose. Just hope it doesn't spread to the other tomato plants and the potatos........and apparently runner beans can get it !!!!! Hate to think that we might lose it all..........................oh well, mustn't fret too much. We don't grow a lot so haven't a lot to loose. We suffered with it last year with the weather being so wet but managed to salvage most of our plants.
This weekend I just must clear some of these boxes, covered or uncovered and put them where I can;t see them before they drive me dotty. If the weathers still bad (as they say it will be ) then I'll try and sort out an A4 'organiser' and streamline my system -such as it is................:j

To all who love a cheap but meaningful gift -

    organizedchristmas.com/adult-journal-jar

I have about 15 different quotes picked up from various threads on here.

I'll make 6 individual jars for my closest friends before I jet off far,far away...

Have done my recycling today, made 2 batches of Twinks, gave the kids leftovers for tea, dealt with an ants nest.

Well, I think I've found something to make my life simpler and save me a lot of energy (as well as wear and tear on the carpets).

I've just ordered a wheeled trolley that can fold up flat when not in use.

Ok, I'll explain.... because I can't walk at all without the aid of sticks, getting 2 plates of food + 2 drinks to the table for us to have dinner = 4 trips to and from the kitchen, PLUS the danger of me dropping something because my wrists are so weak. The trolley will mean ONLY 1 TRIP!:j

And it'll have loads of other similar uses around the house....
Washing from airing cupboard to bedroom, files from junk room (where they live) to computer desk for me to do household paperwork, "Dungeons & Dragons" figures, paints and other bits from their allotted place in junk room to living room for us to work on painting them (yeah, we're D&D nerds).... the list is endless.
Can't wait for it to arrive!:T

Lamewolf - brilliant idea ! I dont have problems walking but it is a chore when I'm card making to take everything from my craft drawer in the computer room to the kitchen table..........only place big enough to work at........plus family history stuff thats on shelves in comp. room and needs a lot of space to sort through.
Be interest to know where you got it and, more importantly.....how much ?
(trying very hard to watch every penny in case I lose it............lol)
