I'm not sure how both sims can be active for data. On my galaxy I have the options 'SIM 1/ SIM 2/ OFF' otherwise how could you know which network is charging you for every webpage you load?

2 active sims in my phone, but only received one alert... I think.
Did anyone get an alert per sim?
On reading that there was a spread of times that the alert arrived, I'd be amazed if both sims went off at the exact same time.

Does it actually use both at once, and is simultaneously logged into both networks?

I thought you select the active SIM somehow, otherwise you could receive two calls at once, and how would it know which to use when dialling out?

Anyway it should have worked SIM-less, so the alert goes to the 'phone not the SIM.
Both sims are active all the time.
There are settings for each sim allowing you to set your preferences or to ask each time you want to text or call.

    Move along, nothing to see.

The phone was connected to home WiFi, but not through either sim. I am sure Google has previously sent notifications to my old phone which didn't have a sim in it at the time.
In the kitchen I have an old phone that I use for internet radio, no sim, wi-fi only, but signed in to a Google account, it does sometimes receive Google alerts if I sign into something that it doesn't recognise.

Text or call yes. but does it ask which sim you want to use every time you consume data?

Turn the wireless on to find out why the alarm was sounded.

That is truly depressing. Hopefully, we will disappear in the first flash.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

My Samsung has settings for preferred SIM for calls, messages and data and a further switch to allow the second SIM to be used for data if the preferred is not connected. So as @[Deleted User] says, only one (mobile) data connection at a time.

My data connection was switched off. I received one alert.
The phone was connected to home WiFi, but not through either sim. I am sure Google has previously sent notifications to my old phone which didn't have a sim in it at the time. It now had a lebara sim as an emergency backup sadly or it might have given useful insight.
    @savergrant

What is a "lebara sim" please. Thanks
