With a bit of luck we'll be changed to EE and be able to use the 5 digit text numbers0

But at what cost ? The cheapest 30 day contract is £18 for 1GB, I am currently paying £6 for 7GB. And if we do go to EE it will likely be on a discounted package where the annual increase is based on the package full price.gbhxu said:With a bit of luck we'll be changed to EE and be able to use the 5 digit text numbers

Only advantage with a switch to EE for me ,would be if they allowed wifi calling as the signal in the house is unusable downstairs currently.gbhxu said:With a bit of luck we'll be changed to EE and be able to use the 5 digit text numbers1 -

It should not matter how long a text number is.molerat said:

A text is a text.
If it's not included in unlimited texts, you should still be able to use the 5 digit number even if you have to pay for it
The trouble is that 5 digit text numbers are now being used for things like hospital surveys to paying for car parking. Banking and even the Police.
It is something that need to be addressed0 -
If you want to stay on the EE network and in particular if wifi calling is important, I suggest you go and look at 1P Mobile

For me that link says "no change to services for existing customers", although it does seem to suggest you can't change to another plan.molerat said:Plusnet have stopped selling new mobile contracts. Existing customers have new 30 day contracts available but no 12 mth.Which gives a link to EE
"There’s no change to your current plan
There’s no change to your mobile service. You can still get all the great benefits from your plan.

I suspect we'll all be migrated to EE contracts. I'm holding fire for now - hoping that we'll get a discount of some sort.

That actually happened with BT. My daughters phone was with BT and that got migrated to a contract directly with EE at a comparable price to what BT were offering (actually same price but more data) and a lower price than is advertised anywhere by EEmarlot said:I suspect we'll all be migrated to EE contracts. I wanted to renew for 12 mths but can now only get 30 day rolling contract. If we get moved to EE will we still get free roaming I wonder? EE charge £2.29 per day or £15 pm for Roaming Pass.
Interestingly, Virgin customers who are going to be transferred to O2 this year will get double data or even unlimited data for the same amount of money each month. I bet that won't happen here.0
