There is no indication whatsoever that the person 'got a court fine', have you made that up?Deleted_User said:This person went a whole year and got a court fine

The thread was left dangling with no conclusion in May last year, with no further update from the OP. No one knows what has happened.
You really have to get this stuff right please to save sending us down wrong rabbit holes. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

@Deleted_User, please get a grip and calm down. You are stressing way too much over this. Did you start any of those threads over on Pepipoo? You appear to be confusing a County Court Claim with a "fine" of some sort. Please have a thorough read of all the paperwork you have received over this and count the number of times that the word "fine" appears and tell us your answer.
What you must do now, is read, re-read and read again the Newbies/FAQ thread which explains in great detail everything that happens and when and what you need to do. It is a lot of information so just skim-reading it will not help you. It may seem daunting at first but you already have had advice both here and on Pepipoo so you are not a complete novice.
You are not in danger of receiving any "fine". this is not a criminal matter. It is a civil matter and you received a speculative invoice for an alleged debt over a disputed term in a contract. Simple.
You haven't stated where you are in this process. All you have said is that you received a "penalty" which is untrue. Whilst you are counting the number of times the word "fine" appears in your correspondence, you can also count the number of times the word "penalty" appears too.
What date did this alleged breach of contract take place? What correspondence have you received besides the original ticket or PCN?
Finally, stop panicking and worrying about fines and penalties and those incomplete threads over on Pepipoo as none of them are what you stated earlier. Now, go and have a read of the Newbies/FAQ.4 -

With one child who has decided that they are non-binary, trust me, I have had to learn how to navigate that minefield. I still find it very difficult to get around the irregular grammar I am supposed to be using... and failing miserably.

I'm not stressing lol I just can't be arsed with faffing about for a year for £60. If it's as easy as you say, like I said i'll file them and wait for the onslaught....B789 said:@Deleted_User, please get a grip and calm down. You are stressing way too much over this.
