If you are right and they did not provide information to you explaining your statutory right to cancel under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (legislation.gov.uk), then my understanding is that the statutory cancellation window is increased from 14 days to either (i) a year, or (ii) 14 days after they do provide the required information to you.laybackandwin said:
thank you for the long explanation..... there were no terms and conditions with the course. The sales page is all you get before you enter the course page on the same site.Manxman_in_exile said:
Your third point is something I forgot too. I did email them and say they can't have it both ways, either give me my refund or reinstate my access to the course.
However, as I posted earlier, I wouldn't consider myself particularly knowledgeable about how the statutory right to cancel applies to online digital content courses, and I'm sure other posters here know much more than I do. (I'm a bit surprised nobody has picked it up yet...?)
Personally - if I were you - I think I'd forget their "money back guarantee" and focus on your statutory right to cancel under the regs linked to above.
Two questions:
1. How much of the course have you accessed?
2. How did you pay?1 -
I opened a couple of videos to see if they had the text box or not but not actually viewed any of the course at all.Manxman_in_exile said:

I paid by PayPal using my debit card.0 -
Have you raised a Paypal claim yet? I'd give that a go - explain you are unable to use the course because of your disability, that the transcriptions were not suitable, and that they are refusing to honour their money back guarantee or your statutory right to cancel.laybackandwin said:

I feel like if it came to court you'd certainly have a strong case, the only question is if its worth pursuing it.1
