You can always use the wet forms as your rough/scribble copy once you have spoken to them!

Yes, I was going to call Monday anyway, I don't know but the forms were wet at the bottom and are now not great so I need new forms really. I won't put that off.
Be prepared for a wait, ended up a 90 minutes before someone answered last week.
Try just before phones open, as I expect Monday is the busiest day.

Anytime, hope it goes ok, maybe break process into chunks with a list so you can tick off so can not overwhelm yourself too much 💕

For timeline info... I received my PIP renewal form today (10 days after it was dated) with my award due to end in November... so 8 months prior to end award (which has not been recently extended). Oh what joy.... better dust off the printer and look into my archives.

Contact them to arrange an extension, explain your very unwell, there’s charities that can help with forms, explain you need time to find one to help and get an appointment, if there’s a delay for appointments you then then update pip on that when you know more.

Thanks, I think I might have to, this has sent into a spiral today.
I had to seek out private therapy as the NHS just left me on a wait list and I needed some urgent help. This is sending me back there.
I would do it as a just in case measure so it takes pressure off you, it’s the approach I have used in the past as I can’t cope with paperwork due to my neurological issues and get very anxious. Thinking of you 💕
Do they usually grant you some more time?
They do, if it is the first request for a time extension for this review. The usual extension time is 2 weeks. This is usually granted and it isn't necessary to give a reason for the request though it makes sense to give one (there isn't enough time to receive the review form, complete it and get it back on time). You can ask for longer - I once got 4 weeks - but you will need to give a reason and the call handler may have to refer the extension request to higher up the line for authorisation.

Thanks Robbie, that's really helpful for me.

I might ask for the 4 weeks one, I just have so much going on at the minute my mental health is on the floor.

    Update....

Phoned this morning, without me having to ask for an extension, or a longer one, the man was so helpful when I said they had been in the post for weeks and he extended it until the end of May, so now at least I feel as if I can breathe.
He also said should I need more time just call to ask. Honestly, one of the most helpful people I've dealt with from anywhere.
