When does it say you need to rerun by? If it’s short notice ring and ask for extension, they used to cease payments if you didn’t respond in time, no sure if that’s still the case now.

I'm also in a bad place with my MH and everything is seeming overwhelming right now, so I just don't feel as if I can take the pressure.

Contact them to arrange an extension, explain your very unwell, there’s charities that can help with forms, explain you need time to find one to help and get an appointment, if there’s a delay for appointments you then then update pip on that when you know more.

Thanks, I think I might have to, this has sent into a spiral today.
I had to seek out private therapy as the NHS just left me on a wait list and I needed some urgent help. This is sending me back there.

This may help in filling in the form:

Keep a copy and use additional sheets to give a full picture (the spaces aren't big).
Typed sheets attached to the form answering the PIP activity questions can be a good way of approaching it (legible, easily edited, helps consistency, etc) - if you can do it this way.

Remember the importance of "reliability", & "majority of the time"  -

" Many people miss out on getting PIP because they don’t fully explain the difficulties they have with activities.

They think that just because they manage somehow, that means that they can’t claim.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Because the law says that you should score points if you can’t do things:

    • Safely
    • In a reasonable time
    • To a reasonable standard
    • As often as is needed

So, if you can show that you can cook but it isn’t safe for you to do so because your concentration is so poor that you forget what you are doing, then you may score points...."

Your local advice charity may be able to help (but will be very busy):

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

I would do it as a just in case measure so it takes pressure off you, it’s the approach I have used in the past as I can’t cope with paperwork due to my neurological issues and get very anxious. Thinking of you 💕

Do they usually grant you some more time?

I have never heard of it being declined but better to do sooner rather than later plus sooner is in with all supporting info sooner you can deal with appeals that come up.
if you have a delay accessing medical records or reports that might help the assessor then I attach a cover letter to say what I am waiting for and how I will forward it, usually I use recorded delivery.

Yes, I was going to call Monday anyway, I don't know but the forms were wet at the bottom and are now not great so I need new forms really. I won't put that off.
