This is the reply I received from Bauer this morning

"We are unable to block your number from entering.

When you dial the number above it will ask you to confirm your number and then enter you into the draw.

It is your mobile networks sole responsibility to connect your calls to the number that you either dial or text, if there is an issue with the connection then this would only be with your mobile network not connecting you to the number correctly.

You will need to call them back and ask them to investigate further.

    kind regards"

What I don't understand is, when I ring I hear the phone click (that the call has been answered) but there's no message or sound of any sort, no questions, absolutely nothing.
But the call has connected because the timer has started to count.

    Does anyone have any ideas??
That's pretty much what I get, I can see my phone dialling then it seems to connect, then silence for about 50 seconds and it then disconnects. 50 seconds is about the maximum amount of time that the call takes on my 02 phone if I let it run to the end, so it seems that my EE phone connects but I hear nothing from their end. Whether pressing 1 near around the 40 second mark would enter the EE phone into the competition is unknown, there's no difference that I can hear. Accordingly I am having to pay about 55p per call via 02, less than a stamp but it could be free if I could use EE.

EE customers have had problems with 0330 numbers before - there are various threads on the eecommunity page

Just checking, not sure if I missed something or just being dim having just read the previous comments, is it that if you phone one of these 033 numbers it is free if you have 'inclusive minutes' but if you have pay as you go as I have it is £2??  And you can't do it from a landline?
    Thank you for your patience....
The PAYG charge will probably vary depending on which mobile provider you are with.
Can you check your mobile provider's website and see whether it says how much calls to 0330 calls cost?
That's an idea, I'll see...... thank you

I am with O2 pay as you go - it would appear that the 0330 numbers are not free, even for pay monthly customers - 30p charge plus 30p per minute...

I haven't seen an email address for them, but might be worth trying them on Twitter or Facebook?
Are you able to enter the £50k one here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6431621 or are you blocked from that one too?
    Hi Liz
I've just tried that one and getting the same as the big one, so blocked again.......Thanks though!!
Out of curiosity - have you won over £500 with them within the last 6 months? (you don't need to answer) It's just really the only reason I could think they'd ban any number!
To answer your question....No, I've not won any big prizes from Bauer in the last 6 months.
It looks more likely that they have blocked my number even though I've never rung any of their competition lines.
Sorry to hear that on both accounts. Hopefully if you contact them they can get it sorted. I recall someone having issues a few years back with the online free entry limit being much less than everyone else - they sorted it out rather promptly
They don'y block winners of 500 or more, they may just not pay out. But I know for certain they don't always check that never mind block numbers.

I've had a look at the £50k and £250k comps, and registered for the Winhappy system, but (without reading six pages of queries here already) - how do we get free entries now, without paying for entries first? Thank you.  Rich.
Ring the 0330 numbers , if they are free as part of your mobile deal. You'll have to read the comp rules for the numbers. Ring, listen, confirm number, takes about 30 seconds. It's nothing to do with Winhappy.

Do we know what day/time they are making the winning phone call?
Is it likely to be shortly after 5pm Thursday, or could it even be sometime over the Easter weekend?

On Absolute Radio they said after 5pm on Thursday so the winner would have the money just in time for the bank holiday weekend. I would assume it would be around 5pm rather than later like with the Make me a Winner phone calls. I can't say for certain though

    Good Morning

Apologies if this has been asked already.

Can you confirm how many entries I can make by telephone? On the terms and conditions I have read 30 entries by text, 60 entries online and 150 entries by telephone. But I have also seen a figure of 120 entries somewhere in the various posts on here or on the competition post.

Also if entering by phone how will I know I've reached the limit. Does it tell you? I am trying to count but I may have miscalculated by one or two entries.
