And since they switched off the "Analogue" TV service over 10 years ago.........MouldyOldDough said:I understand that there is a device that can be purchased to put a delay of a few seconds on to the analogue signal from a TV aerial - which allows you to watch TV virtually live but allieviates the need for a TV licence - because you are no longer watching "LIVE" TV.0 -
...just means that the "delay" will be a bit longer than a few seconds....Mister_G said:

TV licenses are stupid. Or they want to do is take more money from you. The BBC has boring shows like the great British bake off, like who watches that crap?textbook said:
Are fines, enforced? It just seems like such a waste of money, wanna ditch it but do watch it from time to time. Got a day to pay before dealine. Will price go up if it goes over?0 -

You could watch it on your new MacBook Air. Or not.0 -
You need a license if you watch or record a live transmission. It doesn't matter whether you record it on a PVR, and watch it a week later, or buffer it for a second, it still counts as live..km1500 said:general wisdom.is that 'not live' means starting watching after the end of the broadcast prog, not a slight delay

If people want to do without a TV Licence, they (basically) need only to view video content as on-demand/catch-up/box-sets/DVDs/Bluray from non-BBC iplayer sources.
There's no need to delve into the weird world of TV Licence misinformation.0
