Toilet flush valve.

It doesn't look anywhere near the height of the overflow and the water level in the cistern doesn't drop (by eyesight) even after 8 hours . No signs of the inlet slowly topping up the water either.
Could it be the mechanism not pushing the rubber seal tight enough? Maybe I should look into buying the entire thing as suggested rather than just the rubber bit.1 -
I literally had the plumber sort out the exact same problem 2 days ago with the exact same valve. He changed the whole valve and it worked perfectly0

Those Ideal Standard valves are crap.My mother in laws fairly new build house had them in three toilets and all of them had water leaking and running down the back of the pan at some point. Not really a big problem but just annoying !Replaced the lot of them with Flowmasta valves from Screwfix. Problem sorted.0
