I forgot to check it earlier. Nothing really to report, apart from NSD 6 today. I am bunking off my aerial hoop class- hobbies shouldn’t be torture should they?! Grateful for getting through Monday, for feeling a compulsion (not really motivation) to write, for landlord coming round to fix broken bathroom lock.Student loan £5655

Not a NSD, as I ordered a new peg bag from Etsy as mine can't be mended any more, as the fabric is disintegrating. I know that there are lots of clever people here who could make their own, but sadly I am not among them. Happy to support a small business though, and it was only a small spend. Also paid the milk bill and bought a few bits from W*itrose - all glamour hereI decided I don't need a 'proper' weekly shop this week, as I have lots of food in the larder, fridge and freezer, so it will be a low spend week overall.I rearranged the furniture in the dining room this afternoon, and put my grandson's toybox upstairs as he rarely looks at the items in it now. He is too big for them really, but won't want me to get rid of them. The craft items, which both grandchildren do play with, are still downstairs (and need tidying), and there are construction toys etc upstairs in the spare room where they often play anyway. I also listed several items on freecycle, and am hoping they go soon. Someone has already asked for one of them. After dinner I went outside and did 15 minutes weeding and tidying in the garden. I will try and do more tomorrow.7

So sorry for your loss @Toni'sfriend, pleased you had a nice chat & a laugh with your neighbour.
Hugs @Starlight_at_Sea, you didn't need that additional stress today. Hopefully your email will prevent it happening again, or to someone else.
Back to work today, did some yoga & hung out the washing before breakfast. Work went ok apart from a 10 minute blip, but have to remind myself it's not easy for staff nor pupils to start concentrating, etc after 2 weeks off! Booked appointments for DS3's parents evening on Thursday, then went for a walk. Smiled at the lambs as I passed them 😃. After tea I sewed patches onto 2 jackets, a much more pleasant job than yesterday's. Received 2 messages from new customers too. Will have my work cut out keeping in too of it all!!
Grateful for my first day going well, mum sorting out her pension over the phone, a nice sewing job, the washing drying on the lineUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Today I am grateful for a chatty ds2, all of the way to uni town he talked my ears off for two hours, and then we had a small burger at a chicken place, before I headed back. I am grateful for a quick visit to A and E where ds1 got his fractured hand mended a bit better with a smaller splint. Grateful for both of them being back in one (two) pieces from their trip to the US to visit their family.
But all of this is on a very dark background of my friend and her friend both losing control of their kayaks in a weir. My friend is the mother of a young daughter and I am just finding it an incomprehensible loss. And as I have kayaked and been wild swimming I am now incredibly angry at the river at this very out of the blue accident.
She was a mover and shaker and I shall miss her bitterly.
I find life quite intense and very entangled, but I think it just makes me want to focus on achieving a little bit everyday, in particular listening.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Big hugs @ditty1234, your friend sounded lovely. Remember the good times you shared & think of something nice you could do with her daughter, maybe take her to the park, it write her a letter to read when she's older, about a fun time you had with her mum.
My DS has been feeling overwhelmed with things, but is trying to focus on doing a couple of small things each day, to get back into a routine. He's also copying 2 or 3 things from one notebook to another, rather than focussing on the 60 or so he's got to do. Little & often. He's neatly finished them all now, so feels like he's achieving something.
You can do it & we're here to support you any way we can xUse it up, wear it out

Hope tomorrow is a better day for you @grandmanerd.

A gorgeous day, & my last day off before heading back to work tomorrow... Hoovered the car out, dug up some clumps of grass in a border, then walked just under 5 miles, listening to the radio.
Tackled a sewing job I've been putting off. Even more so when I took the jeans out the bag (very smelly & had a brown stain on the inside back bit 🤮). Don't think I'll be doing any more jobs for them.
Rewarded myself by sitting outside afterwards & reading a couple of chapters of my book.
After tea I did the ironing & had a soak in the bath.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
