Some travel much further regularly for work and can still fill a passport quickly.
I read it online, although I know that doesn't always make it true! Time Out magazine don't seem to like the idea! Passport Stamps will Soon Be Scrapped for Brits Travelling to Europe (timeout.com)0 -
I was disappointed when passport stamping ended. Trying to remember when you went to a certain place become more difficult as age advances.0

My comment was intended to be light hearted but clearly fell on stony ground. That said, I don't have bank statements going back 20 years plus, nor have I retained emails. I've never had date stamps on photographs either. I do still have old passports from 20+ years ago, but that's no help for more recent trips into Europe.

My husband died in 2016 and I had to send my passport to Sainsbury's of all people. I had to wait months for probate and had to apply for a credit card.
I eventually received a cheap brown envelope with their letter of acceptance saying my passport was enclosed - but the bottom of the envelope had become wet and soggy and had split, and my passport was lost. They did pay for a replacement, but that wasn't the point. I was so upset to lose all of our 'family holiday' stamps in it.£216 saved 24 October 20140
