BHX to Munich via Frankfurt question

Hi
Hopefully a simple answer on this one but thought I best check.
Going with Lufthansa to Munich from Birmingham via Frankfurt for in July for the outbound flight. There's only a 45 min stop in Frankfurt. Never been but I am aware Frankfurt is a huge airport.
As Britain is no longer in the EU, does anyone know if we'll be expected to go through customs again? I am not sure because it's just 45 mins layover if it even involves changing the plan or is it just to drop passengers off/ refuel?
Does anyone have an experience of stopover with Europe flights with Lufthansa?
Thank you

You are presumably on the early morning flight to Frankfurt, which is a pity as there are at least 2 direct non-stop flights later in the day. The 0600 flight is only to Frankfurt where you will have to go through immigration and then transfer onto an entirely separate flight onwards to Munich. 45 minutes certainly isn't long but it is an official connection so if you miss it, LH will put you on the next available service. I won't tell you what I think of Frankfurt as a point to transfer flights and just wish you the best of luck!1

Thank you for that, Yes it does seem like a massive ask in 45 minutes. to change plane and get around Frankfurt airport (because we all know the planes won't be parked next to each other)!0

I had something like a 90 minute change at a Frankfurt on a flight to Bogotá in 2019. Our flight from LHR was delayed as a passenger was taken ill just as we left the gate. We missed the flight but even without the delay it would have been tight as the airport is huge and we had to go through security a couple of times to get to the gate.
You may be lucky but don’t expect to get the connection.0
