Getting out of Broadband Contract Early

I would like to move my broadband away from BT to another cheaper provider. I am half way through a 2 year contract.
I am planning to upgrade to a "new" 2 year contract and then cancel it within the 14 days. Then I can get a new customer offer from an alternate provider. The downside might be that I would be without broadband a day or so perhaps.
Can anybody see any problems with this approach? Has anyone tried it?

Nice try, but don't you think that everyone would be doing it if it were possible?0 -
