How do you reply to a particular reply

How do you reply to someone, there is no reply button, only a quote link.  When I use the the quote link , it says, you can't post links, because there is links in the quote.

At the bottom of the page there is a box where you can type a reply without using the quote button.

If there's no quoted text, the box says 'Type your comment' in grey text.

So I can't address my response to a particular person, just put a reply at the bottom of the thread?

By the way I am using the "Post Comment" button at the bottom of this page, for this reply.

So that means both Quote and Post go to the last position in the thread, very interesting

Googled and looked on MSE site for basic tutorial on using this site, there in none.

To reply to a particular user without quoting them, you can tag them by putting an @ in front of their username like I have here for you, @CrowdFunded.
