No they’ve just increased an existing issue - they do this sometimes- and they did this last time

It will update soon - give it some time

if mines not gone up in a couple of days I’m going to send them a secure message to ask why

I just gave them a quick call. They’re experiencing a glitch at the moment, but it should update automatically. They have sent a letter to my e-documents confirming the automatic increase to the issue, but I can’t see it my end yet.

Last time they automatically did this they also changed my account from monthly interest to annual by mistake

I only noticed a couple of weeks later when my monthly interest didn’t show up!

so I’ll be checking it closely this time

I did get £10 compensation though

I’ve given up on Shawbrook and withdrawn my funds - admittedly before this latest increase. I found they site very difficult and got logged off several times while in the middle of things. Closure amount took weekend plus two working days to arrive. No closing statement sent or even an acknowledgement, so will need to find out how to get an interest certificate.

I’m too old now to be bothered with difficult organisations when there is so much choice out there.
I closed an account with them last week but am still able to log in, they have a 'closed account' section from which you can obtain all your transactions.

I've always found them very decent to deal with.  They did have a period of service issue when they couldn't cope with the influx of money / accounts but overall very happy with them.  As long as you know the time for withdrawals there isn't an issue, and there is always the option for a savings account that utilises FP.

That's all I did with the last rate increase, just sent them a secure message and they simply updated the issue on my account. with the new interest rate.

Thank you for that update. Their website was saying earlier that they'd email or message shortly re rate increase on issue 33. That message has now disappeared. Bit poor on their part, February rate increase was just applied.

Upgrade request to Issue 34 next on the to do list.
