Haven't carried a wallet for ages. So easy to use Apple Pay. I'm 66 and was amazed that in the poll most of the responses were from my age group. Who would have thought!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I use one of those metal cases for my bank and credit cards. Supposed to stop anyone cloning them. Was pleased to find that the case is smaller than my purse so can fit in my zipped pocket very comfortably. I also like the little compartments that fan open and keep my cards separate. Got another one for my loyalty cards, just cos it works so handily!

I'd much rather pay with a debit or credit card, or even cash, rather than muck about with apps on my phone.  I can get a card out of my wallet much quicker than I could find my phone, unlock it, then swipe up and down to find the app.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

I carry one, more often than I carry my phone probably.

I have a few cards for which there is no digital equivalent.

I keep my money in it too 😉

You don't unlock or use an app, you (if using an iPhone) double click the button on the side, look at the phone if you use facial recognition or put your finger on the home button for fingerprint and place the phone near the shop's card reader. You can also do the authentication step whilst queuing and “tap” as soon as the card reader is ready. It supports multiple debit and credit cards and you can choose which one to use and you can have shop loyalty cards all in the same place. All this means 99.9% of the time I leave my wallet at home

A work colleague get money stolen because she used both her card and ipay, lost the card but didn't realise.
I use a wallet, I should really takes some cards out, to slim it down. I never use my phone to pay. My coins do wear a hole in my pockets.

Mostly use Apple Pay nowadays for convenience. My understanding is that Apple Pay and Google Pay are more secure as well thanks to tokenisation.

I answered yes, although the more accurate answer would be yes sometimes - it's in my handbag and I only take my handbag out if I think I might need something in it, or if I'm travelling some distance from home 'just in case' I need it
