Morning all.
I had another busy day yesterday - managed to cross several small jobs off my list, as well as spending the whole morning baking. We're off tomorrow to visit DS2 and family for a few days, so of course need to take the coffee cake and fruit cake that they have come to expect. I have decided that since I have a small repertoire of much loved recipes, I shall not be adding to it in future - it would only encourage me to eat more cake, which is bad for me! (Doesn't stop me from licking the bowl out, though!)
More jobs to do today, plus the gym, plus giving Rosie a bath, and of course packing.
I shall still be cheering you all on from the sidelines while we're away xxx7 -

Afternoon all.
Just work shift, dailies, yet more admin and drizzly dog walk done here today. Might see what I can fit in before haircut.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
The weather is sooooo miserable, and now the wind is getting up too. Luckily I have a restorative Friday evening g&t in hand…
Nothing doing flying apart from one load in the wm this morning before I left. I need to get inspired. Or just a good old fashioned kick up the derrière would do the trick.
I hope everyone is ok.
Have a lovely relaxing break, Iona xx5 -
Hi all
no paid stuff today as took a days leave, weather rubbish so I have gone through the house! All rooms now restored to order, dusted ,vac’d, bins emptied etc. Also been to the gym and took another huge bag of too big clothes to charity, 4 months now of upping the walking and loosely following a combination of sw and calorie counting and I am 21kg down! Totally chuffed and feeling like mission slinky is succeeding!Have a lovely evening all, back tomorrow xx7 -
Well done on the slinkiness, BadCat. I have managed to lose about 9lb (4kg) since January, which I am happy with, as long as it doesn't go back on again! I'd rather it came off slowly.
Another C@dent visitor came this morning to check on the work that needs (re-)doing. I have arranged for the poshly named Reinstatement Team to come next Thursday, but the safety barriers have been removed from my garden and along the lane today. Not entirely sure that that's a good thing, as I consider the sinking bits of my lawn to be a trip hazard...
I have iced the coffee cakes that I baked yesterday, given a vegan fruit cake to the dog walker in lieu of an Easter egg, done 3 loads of washing, been to the gym, delivered 2 bags of coats and shoes to the CS, found DH's jacket which he couldn't see although it was hanging in plain sight on the chairdrobe in his bedroom, and bathed Rosie, who is now looking very beautiful and smells of coconut doggy shampoo. I changed into my PJs as soon as I'd finished bathing and drying her, although it was only 5.30pm, as I was more than a little damp too! I'm too tired to start packing this evening. There will be plenty of time to do it in the morning, and we're not taking much with us, apart from 4 different types of cake and biscuit
Hope everyone has a good weekend xxx7 -

Good morning. White rabbits 🐇🐇🐇
Pretty miserable here too, Kaz. Every time that I woke up, I could just hear the rain hitting the window.
Well done on the slinky campaign, BadCat. Weigh in day for me today - absolutely no change, not even a measly 0.1 of a kilo. Pretty sure that all my sensible eating is being negated by my slothness. Not helped by the weather, as I can’t get to the allotment, even though I have a stack of jobs to do up there. Let’s not mention that we are going out with DD for lunch today…
Loose plans for today - go to local farm shop to see what they have for Easter weekend, out for lunch, maybe drop some bits at cs opposite the restaurant, back to slob out and watch the rain, maybe exert myself to do HHI or even an hour in the gh. I ought to whizz the vacuum cleaner around, but let’s face it….
Have a good day everyone x7 -
Morning all.One wash load is in machine. Basic dailies done. Other plans for today are dog walk, pick up new glasses, knitting.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
went early to the hospital in Steel City yesterday as DD was at Uni which is fairly close to said hospital, so sat in the canteen for an hour and finished the sleeve i was knitting then wandered down to the basement to be zapped. Was slightly early but was treated early so all good, then used google maps to get to DDs car. Didn’t have to wait long.
Did some putting away of dried pots and some ironing.
Am liberally applying moisturiser. So far so good.
