Weekly Flylady Thread 27th March 2023

Hi all
Mmm, well I would choose to spend my days walking or cycling, playing with my camera and finding interesting places to visit. A tea shop wouldnt go amiss, and when I got bored of my own company I would seek out other flylady friends to discuss the merits of being a sloth and not giving a damn.
The reality is that I have to work, I have a small but amazing team of people, and a never ending stream of moaning customers (what is it with people at the moment!). Anxiety is sky high but I am battling it - with limited amounts of success.
Tomorrow I have to take my bike for a service, I am already fretting about getting the bike into the shop because it's a very small shop, oh and I have to find somewhere to park, and so on.
I need a reset button.
Flying? Oh yes, I have hoovered the LR, emptied the LR fire and put some laundry over the airer because its going to rain tomorrow.7 -

Struck down with a cold as of yesterday eve - I really haven't got time for it, too much to do before we go away. So today was a lot of sleeping and moaning about what I should be doing. Trying to think of some actual flying to report; did a bit of report writing, filled bird feeders and checked greenhouse was about the sum total I'm afraid.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8

washing dried beautifully on the line. was very cold though. What doesn’t need ironing is airing on the maiden.
i have sorted through the herbs and spices, flung some, washed out the jars and typed up a new list for the inside of the cupboard door.
Chiropodist in the morning. The toe i stubbed and bruised is no longer black, but i have stubbed my big toe and made a mess of the nail, hopefully she will tidy it up.
Both these last two have been put off and put off due to what’s been happening over the last few months.
I have lost/mislaid my appointments letter. Luckily i had photographed it for the WhatsApp group on which i publish my appointments for friends/family to take me to them.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

By the time I got home from the gym, the holes in the lawn and back path had been filled, but the lawn patch is not good and I am very likely to fall down the "pit" they've left, so I shall be inviting them back to make improvements under the warranty. I managed to get a tester pot of yellow paint that is a very close match for the wall in the utility where we have a new pipe and a patch, but that is too rough and needs rubbing down and smoothing with fine surface filler - ditto in the cupboard under the stairs and back porch. I could have done a better job myself 3 years ago, but I suppose I shall have to put up with workmen's standards now.
I've ordered my meds with a begging note to the GP practice to issue the prescription 2 days early so that I have time to collect them before we go away.
Tried to ring my Greek friend on both mobile and landline, to ask if she wanted to go out tomorrow for her birthday lunch, but got no answer. I'm a bit worried about her. She went for an extended stay with her son 3 months ago and hasn't ring me after the date when she was supposed to be coming back home. She might have stayed on at her son's (in the Middle East), but I don't think her DiL would have wanted her to do that. I will go round with a card tomorrow morning and see if she is home.
See you all tomorrow xxx

Morning all. Hope you're all ok today.
Yesterday was a lovely day, went as planned and will be on repeat next Monday. Oh, except work pestered me on my day off. I will deal with that later as I don't want it happening again.
I intend to fly this morning and may even cut the grass if I can beat the rain. I have a painful back today so will give exercise class a miss.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all.
My Greek friend rang at 8.00 - still with her son, in a different time zone! - so I was able to wish her Happy BirthdayShe's coming home next week, and has promised to bring back some sunshine for us.
It looks as if the big holes in the lane are being filled in today - we currently have a very smart, brand new, black and red HIAB loader sitting outside our house, waiting for the 9.00 official start.
I've already made a start on my list by sending e-cards for various birthdays and checking finances. The list is doable if I plod on steadily.
I hope that Twinkle has recovered from her sickness, Jazee's back will stop hurting soon, and all other Flyfriends are well and/or will cope OK with whatever today brings xxx8 -
Glad you heard from your friend Iona.

From the lists I have done all applicable jobs in the living room, dining room, bathrooms and bedroom. I haven't done anything with the floors though as I forgot to charge the sh@rk. Doh!
Washing machine is busy too.
I haven't done dog walk or grass cutting as the rain beat us today.Spend less now, work less later.8
