Tax Refunds for Parents with children born between 1985 and 2003!

Options
Hi Everyone.
I have been an active reader of this forum for quite a while and would like to share some information.

Just recently the revenue has admitted that about 30% of us are paying too much tax and it holds millions of pounds worth of refunds which are unclaimed. I have the daily mail article that states this in PDF format if someone would like to see it.

People with children born between 1985 and 2003 have only up to 31 January 2008 to claim up to £1500 child tax credit refund. This is tax relief the Revenue failed to pay thousands of parents. If you were the highest earner or only earner in your family between 2001 and 2003 then you may be entitled to a tax refund.

If your tax code for 2001/02 or 2002/03 does NOT end in H or T then you may be entitled to as much as £1500.

Thankyou.

I dont mean to be rude but if you were an active reader then you would know that this is already an active thread within the boards and we would NOT advocate the sites that you are in effect advertising.

You post is against MSE rules which I suggest you take a look at.

Hi. As i mentioned i'm an active reader not poster...so i'm not aware of all the forum posting rules. IF it has come across as advertising i do apologise. I was trying to offer my help. This particular board is not one i looked at much i must admit so not sure if it had been discussed before...but as i mentioned the intention was not to make it advertising but to inform about the deadline for such tax refunds, i do mention that you can claim this on your own.....

please explain why you think its MSE to advertise 3rd party help in these cases.

where the 3rd party charges you

    for something that costs nothing

its against everything MSE stands for

I suggest you delete your post

As i mentioned i'm not aware of MSE forum board rules, since i don't usually post actively. From my own experience i have found that some people just get confused especially with tax or are simply not aware of this and in such cases would like some help. I was trying to highlight the deadline issue not so much the fact that i help people for a fee. I just mentioned that as i thought it would be a way of letting people know that i do this sort of thing to some extent and can help those that don't feel confident enough to do it alone. Nothing more. Obviously i'm sure there are a lot of individuals here who i'm sure can help others and therefore no need for me...but it was the deadline issue i was trying to highlight.

As tigtag02 has already suggested, please delete your posts hummy. They are against the board rules.

If you want to help then explain to people how to do it if they are easily confused!!

Dont advertise or invite people to you at a cost. You dont need to have read the t&c's a million times to realise that thats not was a money saving website would be about!!

i did realise that this was a money saving website and therfore not a place for advertising a costed solution...but as i mentioned i wasn't trying to advertise i was trying to help but unfortunately my attempt looked like advertising...from the little knowledge i have even i can work out that a money saving website is not the place to advertise a paid for service that with some research you can do for free...:-)
It's a shame that the replies to this post have maninly centered on the advertising as that was the whole thing i was trying to avoid...but at least now it's resolved to everyones satisfaction.
