cheers!
Do come back here at the end of July/August though, as I alerted you to before.
THIS IS A BIG MONTH for anyone currently the victim of a PPC. The DLUHC's announcement and draft Impact Assessment is due within a fortnight!
Things are changing quickly this Summer.
Your timing is perfect if the DLUHC in their Draft Impact Assessment give us all some damning words to add to witness statements and cause some claims to fall over.
AND you are needed to respond to the accompanying final Public Consultation about the rip-off charge levels and fake 'fees'.
Join us...diarise it! Change the law.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just posting a quick update - DCBL have been instructed to discontinue. My court case was due next month, and their deadline to pay the court costs is in roughly a fortnight. They provided the N279 in an email.
MCOL has not yet been updated but as with every other stage of this process, I expect that in due course.I just wanted to say thanks to all for the help getting prepared, and the assurance / reassurance of the likely outcome anyway which has indeed come to fruition.4 -

This is DCBL FINALLY UNDERSTANDING you are not a mug and to save face, they chicken out so they don't get a court spanking. These people are bullies and end up being cowards1 -
Well done on your victory.
As your case has already been transferred to a hearing court, MCOL plays no further part. Don't expect it to be updated further.1 -

In the meantime, while it's on your mind:Please find time to do this Justice Committee Inquiry within the next ten days:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80375249/#Comment_80375249The Committee invites evidence on:• What the current level of delay in the County Court is
• The ways in which the County Court engages with litigants in person, and how this could be improved
• The causes of action giving rise to claims in the County Court
• What future reforms to the County Court should be considered.
Please also state that private parking firms and their bulk litigators are the main cause of delays as far as small claims are concerned..The MoJ must now be informed to urgently separate parking cases with a new pre-action protocol (requiring use of ADR instead of inflated debt demands and bulk litigators who want court). It should be a last resort.
Tell the Committee about your claim and show the Claim Form and the inevitable discontinuance, this being a numbers game to parking bulk litigators with DCB Legal showing no sign of any intention to take a claim to a hearing. This treatment of motorists should be illegal.
Please add your voice; just answer the questions in your own words but making the points above. You might want to also say the court communications are in legalese and unsuited to average consumer defendants who have not made an active choice to face litigation, but are treated as cash-cow victims by the out of control parking industry."This inquiry is currently accepting evidenceThe committee wants to hear your views. We welcome submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence.
You have until Wednesday 17 January 2024 to make a submission to the committee."

Got it. On my way. 🤓Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
