Started preparing your WS bundle yet?
Or did they already discontinue as they always do, for no money, after offering a daft 'settlement' that you must ignore and pay zero?
Are you aware of the Public Consultation on the level of parking charges and fake add-ons, that you will most certainly want to respond to online in July/August?
It will be discussed on this forum. The last PPC victims' chance to permanently change the law.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

@Coupon-mad hi!I received an email from DCB Legal stating they / their client intend to continue with the claim after reading my defence, and to expect a directions questionnaire from the court - with their own attached. They did offer to settle it then which I refused as per advice.
that was on the 24th April, and I have been checking emails and MCOL every day since with no update, and no physical mail received either.I have begun preparations but need to spend more time on it. I was thinking to come back here to check others' experience of timelines post defence submission, however life does keep getting in the way!Shall I focus on sorting out the N180/questionnaire, the witness statement(s) and so on now, but otherwise keep waiting, or at any point is there benefit to me contacting someone to follow it up??
thanks again!0 -
CCBC is way behind any normal schedule of sending out N180s and you may wait for many weeks to receive yours. Just keep following the 12 step checklist as per the Defence Template thread. You can prepare your own N180 but don't send it until your MCOL shows that yours has been sent.2

Concentrate on preparing your WS, your DQ will come through in due course, just keep checking your MCOL History for its dispatch. While you can't take your eye off the ball, or become complacent, you do know that the chances of the claim ever appearing before a judge at a hearing are remote in the extreme. Keep it going ....

As this is yet another UKPC/DCBL rubbish claim, you are now on part one
Part two from DCBL (the joke) ... "our client is prepared to deal" ??? WOW WOW ?
YOU IGNORE THIS LETTER
Part three from DCBL is from the chicken out farm .... THEY DISCONTINUE
Be patient, DCBL do NOT want a spanking from a judge for one of UKPC's rubbish "driver left site" claims1 -
Thank you all!! Reassurance is greatly appreciated. I will get things sorted anyway, whilst waiting for them to go through their stages
Potentially confounding variable, I am due to move cities at the end of June. Who do I need to speak to, to update all my address details? Is it the court as well as DCBL?I will still have friends in the current address that they all hold for me, so can receive mail just fine - as a backup, if nothing else.0 -
Potentially confounding variable, I am due to move cities at the end of June. Who do I need to speak to, to update all my address details? Is it the court as well as DCBL?You must inform in writing (this isn't a 'speaking' matter) the parking firm, DCB Legal and the court immediately on changing address. Ask them to erase (use that word) your old address and replace it with your new address under GDPR. Send the notification to the parking firm via their Data Protection Officer, whose details should be found on their website's Privacy page. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Good morning again! Thanks for all the helps so far with this one.
I received the N180 from the claimant on the 20 June. The deadline for filing my own is the 7 July.
I submitted my response, by email, to the CCBC address used for my defence and received the automatic Acknowledgement, as well as to DCBLegal in a separate email. This was on 29 June.
However, on MCOL there has not been an update to say the court has received it yet, and am just cautious of the 7th approaching rapidly. Are there any further steps I need to take for the N180 to ensure it's all received, or is this just a 'wait it out' situation (whilst continuing my WS pack).
Aware that the likelihood is discontinuance when we get there, but I do not want to falter before that point! Thanks in anticipation.0 -
I submitted my response, by email, to the CCBC address used for my defence and received the automatic Acknowledgement,If you've had the acknowledgment of receipt of your DQ, there shouldn't be need for concern, the CCBC are well behind in their admin. Many posters have reported a lack of timely MCOL history updating, but none has come to any grief. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
