If I appeal today and it is rejected, will I have to pay the full charge of £90 then?
Nope, because you won't be paying!

Simply appeal in your own words (no template needed for you!) attaching both receipts and explaining about going back in for the 'expensive treat' extra purchase of the bread maker, and saying that you will return that item to Lidl if ParkingEye fail to cancel this PCN without quibble.

Just to understand, when you say "appeal in your own words", you mean submitting the appeal to parkingeye using their online portal and attaching receipts?

Yes, and your words in your first post are fine but add in at the end what I suggested about returning the bread-maker and complaining to your MP and Lidl's CEO if this useless fake PCN is not immediately cancelled without quibble.

Be a but pushy and angry. How dare they!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Plan A is Plan A for a reason. If it works, that's it. No more worry or hassle. Always do Plan A first, and that includes complaining to your MP.

Plan B is an appeal to ParkingEye, but you still have about twelve days to see if Plan A works, so my advice is do not rush to appeal until Plan A has been exhausted.

Ho hum! Another Parking Eye Lidl invoice received yesterday for one of those places where you have to enter your registration number. I'm currently a regular so know the form so not sure what went wrong; ISTR having an issue with one of the machines.

Off this morning shortly, on my bicycle, to execute Plan A. Unlike the breadmaking example above I can't take the free range chicken back, although I could take them some frozen chicken stock... Has anyone had any success with this approach with Lidl, either at local management or head office level?

If I need to I'll try and get hold of the CEO's  name and contact details today, but does anyone have it to hand?

Either way I will probably sit down and write a complaint about the company getting into bed with such a legally and ethically dubious company, along with the procedures required of their customers.

Could I ask why there are grounds for appeal? If there’s a time limit and you overstay are you not running the risk of being fined?
Not in any way trying to be confrontational but interested to learn if there’s an underlying rule to the whole business of ‘time-limit’ parking as we’ve often found ourselves cutting short a shop purely to beat a camera/clock. Tends to be an issue when we’ve perhaps had a quick bite to eat and coffee before hitting the aisles in the local supermarket.
    Thank you

Because it is not always obvious that there is a time limit which could be because of deficient signage or it is possible that the PPC does not have the authority to initiate a claim or any of many reasons. As you are obviously very aware of all the terms and conditions when you park on private land and know what to look out for, doesn't mean that everyone else is as enlightened.

Also, you should be aware that there is no "fine" involved. An ex-clamper thug who is running an unregulated private parking company cannot issue "fines", only speculative invoices for alleged breach of contract which can be challenged.

With private car parks, there is no fine or penalty - it may seem pedantic, but the difference is important

Not in any way trying to be confrontational but interested to learn if there’s an underlying rule to the whole business of ‘time-limit’ parking

The underllying rule is for the pakrng companies to make as much money as possible through the issuing of parking charge notices, that people often mistake as fines and as being from a  reputable company/organisation

as we’ve often found ourselves cutting short a shop purely to beat a camera/clock. Tends to be an issue when we’ve perhaps had a quick bite to eat and coffee before hitting the aisles in the local supermarket.
If the cutting short is because you have paid for 3 hours parking ( ie pay and display) then you need to buy a ticket with a longer parking period.
If the cutting short is due to an automatic camera sytem and/or maximum parking period, and you are unable to complete the shop/visit to the retail park ( for example) then you must complain - ie send a strongly worded letter/email to both the retailers on site, and the site management ( not the parking company) that the car park times, set by their agents - the pakring company,  are too tight and you are unable to complete your shop and spend money at the establishments on site, and as such you will go elsewhere. Also make sure to leave a bad review on trip advisor/google maps etc and let the site management/retailers know you have reviewed their site ( with a link to you reviews to re-enforce this)
Now ponder ths - if as an able bodied individual you are finding the time limitss tight to impossible, how would someone with a disability find them?  ANPR systems dont make any reasonable adjustments for those with mobility issues.

And bringing ths back round to the start - if the orignal poster had a "double dip" that is two visits counted as one then they should come down like a ton of bricks on the site owner ( lidl) for a breach of GDPR y their agents the parking company
