My Energy Bill has nearly doubled today

There is however the possibility the post leak / flood heating / dehumidification - has completely distorted the kWh estimates. So perhaps OP could take a look at the previous bills estimate - or one for a similar time last year.Because at that level - and a standard SVT tariff - he should have been accumulating debt most of winter months.0

How has your energy company been handling the £400 from the government? If they have been putting it towards your bill then the monthly payment they have been getting has been nearer £180 a month for the last few months.
But a banker, engaged at enormous expense,Had the whole of their cash in his care.

There's one other potential fly in the ointment - but would have expected the rise problem months ago - if due to that.Don't know full details, but remember an older thread here. And couldn't understand why OP quoted two DD amounts pre and post rise.SO Energy have a system of so called "Seasonal Payments". Lower in summer, higher in winter. a 6m average for both iirc from that post's OP.But it's website implies once switched to flat it stays flat.0
