Virgin isa confusion

Hi there. I have a current account with Virgin and an easy access ISA. I'm trying to set up a 1 year fix with Virgin to move my easy access into, but I'm having to make a new log in and password. Does this mean that I won't be able to see the new account on the app along with others? I can see it getting very confusing and thinking of ditching the idea and switching to another provider as crazily that seems less hassle!

This is a known issue, but it should end up being visible under your existing credentials. There are lots of these foibles associated with VM, including some that lead to issues transferring out. I would always look at the next best rate and consider taking a small hit in interest for an easier life.

This is the kind of comment I've read several times on this forum, so I accept that some people have experienced difficulties with Virgin. My own experience is different, however, so I think it's worth mentioning this. I have several current accounts with linked savings accounts (much less used now than when the interest rates surpassed most others), and two ISAs (one fixed and one easy access). I have not had any difficulties with account opening or operating. I find their online access to be clear and easy to use. They often offer very competitive interest rates on new accounts.
Of course, there are things I haven't used. Transferring an ISA in happened without any issues, but I haven't had the need to transfer out. I don't use the phone app, so I can't comment on this. I have no particular reason to like Virgin, but whilst they continue to offer things I like I am quite happy to use them. Of course, people are different and are quite free to come to a different conclusion. I'm just saying that I've come across much worse institutions to deal with.2 -
Does anybody know which bank you use when transferring from a Virgin ISA. I'm looking at transferring to Santander and have a choice of Virgin Money, Yorkshire Bank or Clydesdale. I was originally with Yorkshire Bank and have a sort code of 05-00-05 but when I check the bank for that sort code sometimes I see Yorkshire Bank, sometimes I see Clydesdale and sometimes I see Virgin Money (31 Clydesdale Bank) shown as the bank!!!0
