Cancelling a Cash ISA

When opening a fixed rate cash ISA and it says:
You can cancel the account within 14 days of opening and your money will be returned in full with interest.
If the money in the account was transferred in full from another ISA provider where would your money be returned to as the account it came from would now be closed and would it still retain it's ISA status if it couldn't be returned to the previous ISA?

I had this problem with a Santander fixed ISA and I couldn't return it to Nationwide. Santander let me transfer it to their easy access ISA and later I transferred it to a different fixed ISA.Matt17 said:When opening a fixed rate cash ISA and it says:
