Do come back @BrokenEggs - while you are laughing at the £170 'scary letters'.  Not to show us any of them please (we show more than enough in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread) but to take part in the upcoming Public Consultation.

Be aware that a final Government Public Consultation is coming very soon (expected ANY WEEK NOW) about the levels of parking charges and banning rip-off 'fees'.

    Explained here:

    Don't miss it!

Please bookmark the necessary thread explained there and come back to have your voice heard to change the law.  It is your only chance to do so.

By the way, bearing mind the 6 year limitation and LoC issue, what happens if they send it long after we’ve left this rental address?
If/when you move, email the DPO of the PPC and tell them to "erase" your old address and update it with your new address.

Nothing worse than getting a CCJ by default thanks to these scammers as it would include the false added costs which wouldn't be allowed if it was contested before a judge.

Obviously you have to tell a PPC if you move!

It astonishes me people don't (and that no-one seems to bother about Royal Mail 'forwarding' services these days, just letting what might be important mail get binned at old addresses).  Then they come here wondering why they have a default CCJ a year later.

I recently moved and used RM forwarding for 6 months. Have you seen the price of it now? Six months' worth is £48 plus another £9 for each additional name you want to add. However, as we have seen, some PPCs don't even think about initiating a claim until over a year later.
