    looking excellent for tomorrow (saturday)
I am sort of considering trying to switch back to Agile tomorrow after changing to Go on the 10th December - some posters have claimed that Octopus systems are no longer enforcing the 30 day cool down.

However, it looks like the wind forecast for the second half of next week is getting worse again so I might leave it till early Jan, especially given that family might well decide to do a lot of cooking at peak rates next week - I doubt I will be able to dictate Xmas cooking times based on agile slots!

Would love to know the source of your info - I’m stuck with one day updates at 1600. Thanks.

They let me revert after 3 days - but I lost my cheap standing charge 😩

Don't take it as gospel, especially the actual costs as they're often way out but for the trend this is useful. It's essentially when it's windy and wind production meets or approaches demand, unless it's too windy

also check out Nord Pool | N2EX Day-ahead prices, updates about 10am, its giving you a good idea for the next day
  • also going off my last message above, it looks like 24th nov was very similar price, so looking at my bill from that date should also show you what the rates are going to be
i could be wrong but soon find out after 4pm today
  • I'd not seen the NordPool graph before, that puts in context the 3 days where it reached the 99p cap!

It would be interesting to study the pattern of half-hourly slots vs the hourly pricing from the auction. I don't really understand this, but have often noted the alternating higher and lower prices from one half-hour to the next, which don't really make sense from a supply/demand perspective.

i have thought that myself about the slots changing even when price is so low during the night
only thing i can think of is the major users eg car makers (nissan), steel and iron works etc that use major amounts of electric tell the enegy suppiers when they will doing changeovers, maintenace etc and will be spare electric on the network, i could be miles off so dont take my word for it lol
