Speculation but I am wondering if some of you got assigned to a person who then went of sick/bereavement/career/maternity leave and they just don’t have the process or capacity or certainty about their return to deal with a re-assignment.0

Just got my approval email today, 4 pm on a Saturday! So probate has been granted, took just over 22 weeks, hastened them twice for an update after 16. Glad it’s sorted now tho!4

Probate chat service is working today but my application is still unopened and has been escalated again. I just hope my MP can have some influence and get things moving.2 -
My solicitor got back to me today and said the probate office expected my case to be completed "within a week or so"
they have also said this about 4 times before- with the first time being back in October. Should only be another few months then...0 -
Feel a bit sick after reading some of these comments..especially 30+ weeks delay!!... application was sent 8th Feb and still waiting on probate to be granted. However just been told by our solictor they had hoped for the grant at the end of March (wishfully thinking there!) but the helpline is stating a 16 week timeframe so this could be end of May!!
that would coming up to a year since my mum passed

Seems to be a lottery so you never know. I am at 100 days today. 12 more days before I can ask what has been going on. Already knowing the response to expect.

Probate approved email received at 10am! We had reached 20 weeks today.
I don't know if that is a result of my MP chasing or my second escalation on Tuesday but they do appear to now be working on the escalated cases so I have my fingers crossed that everyone's wait is over soon (especially Oglop).
I am amazed that more information wasn't requested as the will is a bit of a nightmare - 5 pages of beneficiaries! but maybe they are not raising as many queries due to the backlog.
Now the wait starts for the paper grants.4
