    I bought some oil and filter from Motosave, £70, the last time I bought oil it was probably less than £20 I hope paying more means a better oil.
    I did drive there, no orange oil light.

    If they drove for 20 mins i doubt it was anything serious ,the oil pressure switch /light would only work if less than a few PSI of oil pressure so if drove for 20 mins the engine would either seize or sound like cement mixer full of scrap metal  :)
  • My old Zafira had a habit of showing the amber oil can with a wavy line every time I took it up a hill  and it made it very clear that it did not like hills.  I live in an area with lots of hills.  In the end, after a rather hair raising motorway trip returning from holiday, it was taken to a retirement home for cars - aka the scrap yard.
