Euro Parking Charge is Scotland

I have received a parking charge from Euro car parking. I live in Scotland and have read on the website that the private parking charges are not legal. However so saying that I have also noted that it is wrong to ignore the charge.
My situation is that I parked in a private car park whilst going to the theatre. I looked at the parking board as its recently changed from council ownership to private. There were other people at the same time looking to find out what to do re payment. You had to put in your registration number but it wasn't clear if you did this before leaving or when you returned. Given that we have parking machines with the same idea, I decided to do this first. Stupid mistake as It turned out you did it the other way round. Just before leaving I went back to the machine and paid another £1 as it said on the board and left. A friend of mine was in the same boat so she did the same. I now find myself with a parking charge but she doesn't. She thinks it may have something to do with the first ticket I paid. I have the parking ticket and a fine of £100. I would like to know if this is an inforcable charge. I have tried to make the appeal on line but when I upload the photo it comes up with gobbledegook. Please can you advise what to do as I'm now past my 14 days. I haven't contacted the company as yet.

Ignore it.
Ignore later £170 debt demands too.
Same advice as here:

You know there is no keeper liability in Scotland (until it changes next year) so the last thing a keeper does is replies blabbing about who was driving!
This is explained in the NEWBIES thread already. Complain to the landowner but again, this is nothing new and is already clearly stated in the NEWBIES thread to be 'PLAN A for all cases'PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
