Mobile repairs

Does anyone know of a good / cheap place to get mobile phones repaired?

I dropped my girlfriend's Nokia 7260 into a ginger ale recently and it won't work at all. I've taken it into a local shop and they couldn't help.

Unfortunately she didn't have insurance on it.

Would it be too cheeky to take it down to Carphone Warehouse (where she bought it) and claim that it has just stopped working to get it repaired under warranty?

they wont touch it, they will inspect and xray for liquid damage before any work is started and if found will return it back as beyond economical repair.
try house insurance? maybe you trod on it or the dog chewed it.
you may get it working again by having it ultrasonic cleaned but no guarentees as it depends on the damage already done.
